In my formative years, I broke more than I danced, so I had to develop new passions. In college I thought I could be a doctor and majored in Pre-Med. Then I held my first syringe and came to a hard realization.
Despite my love for imagination, I really fought the notion of being an artist for years. Finally, I discovered advertising at the University of Texas in Austin, and I fell in love with the path destined for me.
As luck would have it, I landed my first job and had the most amazing mentors at agencies like Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Goodby Silverstein & Partners. I also had the chance to learn and work with smart, talented people in various agencies, trying to solve very tough briefs. After winning awards, I was later promoted, started leading teams, and did some mentoring of my own. I still love to conceptualize and champion the work. I find every project, small or large, to be an exciting opportunity and I genuinely want brands to succeed.
My story isn't all that different from other creatives who love advertising. I only know that I come in with a commitment to deliver, a proven problem-solving process, and a joie de vivre.
Lastly, if you find yourself needing a dance partner, please hit me up anytime of the day. I'd be up for it.
